Description

The Opinel Slim #12 folder has a slightly flexible INOX stainless steel blade and Bubinga handle. It includes the Virobloc safety ring that locks the blade in the open and closed positions. This Opinel pocket knife is lightweight and inexpensive while displaying simple sophistication. All Opinel’s slim knives have a narrow flexible blade, the #12 makes a great table knife and has a narrow flexible blade which is great to fillet fish.

Please keep in mind that the Slim knives have a slightly flexible blade and are not designed to be use for heavy duty task.

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives as of the No.06 – cut out of stainless steel, the Viroblac has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
