This 130th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates Opinel’s storied history, bringing a modern design sensibility to the iconic pocket knife Joseph Opinel first designed in 1890. Only 13,000 knives were produced globally and each knife has been serialized for authenticity.
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives as of the No.06 – cut out of stainless steel, the Viroblac has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport). On this anniversary knife the Virobloc is Black.
Delivered in a gift box with a distinctive specific cover, this knife is a Limited édition with only 13,000 copies for the world.
