Description

Maserin Coltellerie has been producing knives since 1960 in Maniago Italy, a city that is known as the city of knives. Our father Fervido founded the company. He was born in 1934 and started working at the age of 14 as a worker in a factory that produced knives, scissors and tools for agriculture. At that time there was no time for fun only for work, fom the morning till night all week long and Saturdays as well. Fervido also had to work in the fields to help his parents. Following military service, he started his small classic spring knives. From then on orders poured in and he had his first workers and the product line grew. In 1985 our father built a 3,000 square meter factory which we are still using today.

The Maserin Caccia is a classic pocket knife, designed for hunting purposes. Not surprising considering the name Caccia literally means to hunt. The classic handle is enhanced with a steel bolster and nice walnut wood scales.

The blade is made from stainless 440C steel. A stainless type of steel many modern types of steel are based on. Corrosion resistant, easy to sharpen and affordable. You open it with two hands. When opened the blade is kept in place by the backlock. A classic, rock-solid lock.

A classic made in Italy for this price? It is incredibly that it is even possible. Especially with the amount of manual labour that went into it The Maserin Caccia is, as such, one of our favourite gentleman's knives.

Maserin produces great knives for very good price. Real craftsmanship and you can definitely see traces of that on occasion. It is part of the charm of this stunning pocket knife.
